FAQ - Häufig gestellte Fragen
Why is the smart things sCharge PoE Gbit the ideal power supply for smart home tablets?
The smart things sCharge PoE Gbit USB-C power supply with Gigabit LAN (s38 C) was specifically developed for use in modern Smart Spaces where tablets serve as central control terminals. By combining Power over Ethernet and Gigabit data transmission in a single compact module, the need for separate power outlets and additional network cables is eliminated. The PoE power supply delivers both power and network connectivity to the connected USB-C device over a single RJ45 cable. The USB-C Power Delivery function provides up to 27 W of charging power and supports multiple PD profiles from 5 V to 20 V, so a wide range of USB-C tablets and devices can be reliably powered. The module complies with the PoE standard IEEE 802.3af/at and is therefore compatible with all common PoE switches and PoE injectors. The integrated Gigabit LAN interface achieves data rates of up to 1000 Mbps, ensuring lag-free communication between the control terminal and the network.
What are the advantages of the concealed wall mounting of the PoE power supply?
The smart things sCharge PoE Gbit is designed for concealed integration into the wall and disappears completely behind the tablet or in a flush-mounted box. With its compact dimensions of 85 x 82 x 33 mm (H x W x D) and a weight of only 80 g, the module can be unobtrusively integrated into almost any wall construction. This mounting method provides a clean, professional appearance without visible cables or power supplies and is ideal for smart home installations, conference rooms, reception areas and commercial environments. The modular design greatly simplifies installation and later maintenance. Thanks to reverse power feeding, the module can also be temporarily powered via USB-C, which is particularly practical during initial installation or in an emergency.
