The RAM Mounts GDS Tough-Dock iPad Pro 13 & Air 13 (RAM-GDS-DOCK-AP37CPU) is a robust cradle with an integrated USB-C charging function and an output power of 60 watts. It is compatible with the Apple iPad Pro 12.9-inch (3rd to 6th generation), the iPad Pro 13-inch (M4 and M5) as well as the iPad Air 13-inch (M2, M3 and M4) when used with an IntelliSkin Next-Gen protective sleeve. The device is simply placed into the cradle and pressed in until the snap lock engages.
The precise cutouts for all buttons and ports preserve the full usability of the iPad, including use of the Apple Pencil. The inside of the cradle also allows the use of accessories such as the GDS hand-stand, hand-strap and kickstand. The back is prepared for both a VESA 75x75 mm mounting and a round base plate. A Power Delivery charger is recommended for power and is not included.

The Tough-Dock holds the iPad securely in position with a robust snap lock and simultaneously powers it via the USB-C port with up to 60 watts of charging power. This makes the cradle ideal for use in vehicles, on forklifts, in warehouses, or at industrial workstations. The iPad is placed into the dock together with an IntelliSkin Next-Gen protective case, creating a secure mechanical and electrical connection. Unlike the smaller model, the AP37CPU additionally features a VESA 75x75 mm mount on the back, significantly expanding mounting options. Those who purchase the GDS Tough-Dock cradle receive a proven RAM Mounts solution for commercial continuous use.
Which Apple iPads are compatible with the GDS Tough-Dock AP37CPU cradle?
The cradle supports a wide range of Apple iPads with large displays. Compatible devices include the iPad Pro 12.9-inch (3rd to 6th generation), the iPad Pro 13-inch in the M4 and M5 variants, and the iPad Air 13-inch in the M2, M3 and M4 versions. A suitable IntelliSkin Next-Gen protective case is required for use, which provides the iPad with the necessary contacts and correct fit for the dock. The protective case is sold separately and additionally protects the device from impacts and scratches during daily use. All buttons, ports and controls of the iPad remain fully accessible thanks to the precise cutouts in the cradle. The Apple Pencil can still be used. Accessories such as the GDS Hand-Stand, Hand-Strap or Kickstand can be used without issue thanks to the cutout on the inside.
How is the Tough-Dock cradle mounted and what accessories are required?
The back of the cradle is equipped with an AMPS 4-hole pattern and also provides a VESA 75x75 mm mounting interface. This allows it to be mounted to both RAM Mounts mounting systems and VESA-compatible fixtures. A round base plate can alternatively be used as a connection element to suction cup mounts, tube and pole clamps, or vehicle mounts from the extensive RAM Mounts range. For power supply, a separate Power Delivery charger with sufficient output is required, as the dock itself does not include a power supply. Optionally, a GDS-FAN 12-VDC axial fan can be connected to additionally cool the iPad during intensive use or high ambient temperatures. The input cable has a length of approximately 21 centimeters and allows flexible cable routing within the mounting assembly. The scope of delivery includes only the cradle; depicted devices and other accessories are not included.
